Pentesilea Road  est le projet de  Vito F. Mainolfi (guitare / basse) formé en 2014.
Son premier album éponyme est sorti le 26 février 2021. Le nom du groupe fait référence
à Penteselia, la ville décrite dans le livre d'Italo Calvino '' Invisible Villes''. La musique est
du heavy prog rock old-school avec de légères influences métal prog . L'album présente
quelques stars invitées  Ray Alder ( Fates Warning , Redemption ) et
Mark Zonder (ex Fates Warning , Warlord ).
