Amplifier , trio de Manchester, évolue dans un style difficile à " catégoriser "
un subtile mélange entre heavy-metal, stoner, progressif, post-grunge, pop,...
on pense à  Oceansize , Tool , Neurosis , Pelican , Soundgarden ,
un album qui concilie puissance avec intimité et mélancolie,
" Amplifier " sonne comme un orage , on passe de doux riffs à de véritables
explosions sonores, puissance impressionnante de la section rythmique,
guitares lourdes et grasses, du rock de haut niveau, malgré une certaine linéarité,
directement accessible, mais nécessitant toutefois une écoute approfondie !
