Cheap Trick  est un groupe américain de hard rock / power-pop, formé en
1973 à Rockford, Illinois (près de Chicago). C'est typiquement le genre de
groupe qu'ont su créer les USA entre 75 et 85, un mélange de rock'n roll
un peu bourrin, de néo-punk rigolard, de hard FM. Le groupe connut un
succès important à la fin des 70's, particulièrement au Japon ou il obtint son
plus grand succès avec l’album live " Cheap Trick at Budokan " en 1979.
Il est souvent décrit musicalement comme un mélange de mélodies pop
influence  Beatles , avec un sens mélodique certain et une énergie proche
du hard rock. Le groupe est officiellement toujours en activité.
