~ Edison's Children ~

Edison's Children , c'est la collaboration entre Pete Trewawas bassiste
de Marillion et Eric Blackwood , homme aux différents emplois,
photographe, technicien effets spéciaux au cinéma ... ainsi que roadie
occasionnel pour Marillion . C'est sur la tournée " Whirlwind " de
Transatlantic que le projet prend forme puis se concrétise enfin pour
aboutir à " The Last Waking Moments ". Un album calme et mélodique,
la plupart des chansons sont construites autour d’un motif musical unique,
qui se répète selon différentes variations, au travers d’atmosphères
planantes, nostalgiques, où la guitare acoustique joue un rôle important.
Ces thèmes lancinants et répétitifs confèrent des propriétés sédatives à
l’album. Le chant d’ Eric Blackwood , ne s’emballe que rarement et
participe à cette impression de vague à l’âme. L’influence du Marillion
de la première moitié des années quatre-vingt-dix est souvent manifeste.
