Ted Templeman, Richard Scoppettone, Edward James, Richard Yount
et John Peterson ont fondé le groupe Harpers Bizarre en 1963 à
San Francisco. Leur premier single, une reprise du hit de Simon & Garfunkel "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groove)", a atteint la 13ème place du classement des meilleures ventes de disque aux Etats-Unis.
Ce single a été suivi par "Come To The Sunshine", une composition de
Van Dyke Parks . La même année le groupe sort aussi le single
"Anything Goes". Harpers Bizarre a sorti quatre albums et diverses
compilations dont "The Best Of Harpers Bizarre".
