Isildurs Bane  prodigue une musique orchestrale symphonique majestueuse,
avec une touche de rock progressif, dont la démarche peut être comparée
à celle des Hongrois de  After Crying . Au fil des albums leur musique se
veut tour à tour délicate, superbe d'émotion, bâtie autour du jeu lyrique des
guitares, d'un symphonisme très scandinave, mais aussi jazz rock progressif
très recherchée, ou progressif complexe, ambitieux, décalé, classisant,
avec orchestre de 100 musiciens, ou plus expérimentale (musique contemporaine).
Un groupe original, à la technicité sans faille, leur inspiration très large en
font l'un des groupes les plus talentueux du progressif actuel.
