U S A  -  Avant Prog / Prog Folk  -  **

Jack O ' The Clock  est un groupe d'Oakland, en Californie, qui, comme
la plupart des groupes de la Bay Area, développe une musique difficile à
décrire, aventureuse, inventive, expérimentale, en dehors des courants,
un artsy-prog-folk à l'instrumentation variée ( voix, violon, guitare, dulcimer,
basson, basse, batterie, une section de cuivre, guzheng ( cithare Chinois ),
plus des objets tels que des verres à vin, tuyaux en carton ondulé, grilles de
chauffage, et plus encore ), ou le groupe pousse sa musique vers de
nouvelles directions, leur son suscite des comparaisons avec  Sufjan Stevens ,
Henry Cow / Art Bears , Gentle Giant , et  Frank Zappa . Leurs chansons
plus douces, rappellent leur homologue américain de  Stormy Six .
