Album solo de  Nad Sylvan ( chant, claviers, guitares ), le géant à la crinière blonde et à la
voix mutante que l'on peut retrouver tour à tour sur les albums de  Unifaun , Steve Hackett ,
Agent of Mercy , Karmakanic , il s'est entouré pour l'occasion du gratin du rock progressif :
Nick Beggs , Steve Hackett , Roine Stolt , Lars Drugge , Rob Townsend , Roger King ,
Annbjørg Lien , Nick D'Virgilio , Gary O'Toole , Doane Perry , Jonas Reingold  et  Jade Ell .
 " Courting the Widow " c'est l’histoire d’un vampire qui effectue une traversée en bateau
le ramenant chez lui. L’album renoue avec ce rock progressif des seventies qui doit
énormément à  Genesis . L'album comprend 6 titres composés par  Nad  et deux titres
anciens, écrits pour  Agent of Mercy , une musique entre rock, progressif classique,
symphonique, funky en passant par un air tiré du folklore marin, ‘The Killing of the Calm’
où vous entendrez Annbjørg Lien  au violon et  Rob  Townsend  à la flûte. Un album
varié au niveau des atmosphères sonores, qui mélange avec brio de nombreux styles aux
splendides passages servis par de fabuleux musiciens. Nad Sylvan publie un magnifique
album de rock prog "Genesisien" à souhait qui mérite évidemment le détour !
