Lorsqu'en 1898, HG Wells écrivait sa " Guerre des Mondes ",
il ne se doutait sans doute pas qu'un siècle plus tard, son oeuvre
inspirerait toujours les créateurs, tous arts confondus.
La version musicale de " La Guerre des Mondes " est un concept-album
de Jeff Wayne (1978), les thèmes abordés sont assez pessimistes :
mort, amours déçus et résurrections douloureuses.
Cet album est une pure merveille mal connues des pays francophones.
La narration est assurée par Richard Burton , qui n'est ici pas avare
de son immense talent. Le rôle du pasteur fanatique étant assuré par
Phil Lynott chanteur de Thin Lizzy , malheureusement disparu.
La casting est superbe, la composition l'est tout autant,
une formidable introduction dans l'univers de la science fiction.
