Wizzard était un groupe formé à la base du chanteur et multi-instrumentiste Roy Wood , ancien membre de The Move .
Après l'expérience The Move , Roy Wood s'associe avec ses collègues Jeff Lynne (guitare & chant) et Bev Bevan (batterie & chant) afin
de fonder Electric Light Orchestra , célèbre groupe de pop-rock
beatlesien délibérément inspiré par la musique symphonique,
comprenait également un certain nombre de musiciens classiques.
Wizzard propose une pop-rock jazzy teintée de prog qui célèbre musique et artistes qui ont inspirés les années 50 et 60.
Le groupe est célèbre pour ses singles "See My Baby Jive" et
"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday", ainsi que pour les
tenues hautes en couleur portées par ses membres.
