Bassin d'improvisation collective formé en 1976 par  Derek Bailey  ou des musiciens
travaillent ensemble sur la base de l'improvisation. Souvent, les artistes impliqués dans Company   n’avaient jamais joué ensemble auparavant. Ce concept est conçu par le
guitariste  Derek Bailey  dans le but de créer des combinaisons stimulantes sur le plan
artistique de musiciens qui, autrement, n'auraient peut-être pas eu l'occasion de
travailler ensemble. A divers moments, Company  a vu passer : Evan Parker,
Anthony Braxton, Tristan Honsinger, Misha Mengelberg, Lol Coxhill, Fred Frith,
Steve Beresford, Steve Lacy, Jamie Muir, Johnny Dyani, Leo Smith, Han Bennink,
Eugene Chadbourne, Henry Kaiser et John Korn , Buckethead, Georgie Born et
beaucoup d’autres.
