Nick Magnus , a été le claviériste et le collaborateur privilégié sur les
albums de Steve Hackett , de "Spectral Mornings" à "Till We Have Faces".
Après un premier album solo en 1999, "Inhaling Green", il propose avec
ce "Hexameron" une oeuvre ambitieuse, à laquelle participent quelques
invités, parmi lesquels les frères Hackett et Peter Hicks , chanteur de
Steve sur "Spectral Mornings" et "Defector". Un album fait de longues
plages instrumentales et d'agréables parties chantées, des mélodies
éclatantes, arrangées avec soin, avec claviers, piano, flûte, guitare,
choeurs... Tantôt mélancolique, tantôt plus rythmé, qui évoquent
Steve Hackett , Genesis , mais aussi Gandalf , Vangelis et Oldfield .
Un disque symphonique et orchestral à souhait, pour amateurs
de progressif raffiné et mélodique.
