" The D Project " est le projet de l'excellent guitariste/chanteur/compositeur Québécois
 Stephane Desbiens , également guitariste et compositeur du groupe Canadien  Sense .
Participant à de nombreux projets cet excellent musicien s'est forgé une solide expérience
lui permettant de s'entourer d'invités prestigieux tels que  Derek Sherinian , Tomas Bodin
( Flower Kings ), Martin Orford ( I Q ) ou  Fred Schendel ( Glass Hammer ) .
Sa musique se veut indéniablement progressive et emprunte d'une grande modernité,
riche, accrocheuse, contrastée, d'une grande diversité de styles, elle met en avant
une guitare omniprésente au jeu technique et varié, au feeling prononcé, on navigue
entre passages acoustiques, déferlements métalliques, apesanteur symphonique,
une succession de mélodies bien rock, entrecoupées de superbes développements
instrumentaux aux les claviers 70's. Les influences sont multiples, un savoureux
mélange de styles, entre rock torturé à la  King Crimson , musique planante façon
Pink Floyd ( période Waters ) et même The Flowers King  et  Porcupine Tree ,
sans oublier quelques touches jazz-rock bienvenues.
